* 3/4 of girls think thin girls are more popular
* In 1970 the average age of a girl who started dieting was 14; by 1990 the average dieting age fell to EIGHT
* Just 3 minutes after reading a magazine a girl feels low about herself. Maybe it's time we avoided them!
* Only 2% of girls feel they are beautiful.
* Young girls are more afraid of becoming fat than they are of nuclear war, cancer, or losing their parents.
* The average woman spends 2 1/2 years of her life washing, styling, cutting, coloring, cramping, and straightening her hair at home and in the salon.
* When looking in the mirror, the first things our eyes are drawn to are the things we dislike about ourselves.

It's the time we change the way we treat and think about others and ourselves. In a world where the average 9 year old wants to be on a diet, and the admissions of those suffering with anorexia has risen 125% since 1997, there is obviously something seriously wrong.
Song of Songs 4:7 tells us "how beautiful you are my darling, there is no flaw in you". Perhaps we need to stop searching for flaws in eachother and ourselves but start believing this verse. We are what we are and what we are is perfectly designed by God. There is no flaw in you.
psalm 139: 14- 16, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
We can make a difference. I challenge you to tell one person a day they look beautiful be it friend, family or some stranger on the street. But don't just say it without meaning, pick a feature, something specific. Make it mean something and together we can begin to impact the self esteem of our sisters.
Romans 12:2 - Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
